Dead Leaf Butterfly
The irregular patterns and veins on the wings make resemblance with a dead leaf 🌿. Their resemblance with dead leaf help them to easily hide from predators
However on the top of its wings showcase several colours- blue, dark brown, white and orange.
Atlas Moth
It's the largest moth in the world found in the forests of Asia, in terms of wing surface area
'Atlas' name is mainly given because of map-like patterns found on its wings.
The tips of its wings look similar to the head of a deadly cobra 🐍.
When threatened, it slowly flaps its wings to imitate snakehead and neck movements to scare the predators. By the way, they don't have a mouth so they are not dangerous 😉.
Marbled White
This specie is found in grasslands in Britain. It's black and white markings distinguish it from all other species in Britain.
It shows a preference for purple flowers. Males and females are quite similar, except that some females may have a yellow nuance on the underside of their wings.
Transparent Butterfly
While its wings appear delicate, it can carry up to 40 times its weight!
Their bodies are dark brown and are 2.8 to 3 cms in length. Their transparent wings help them to hide from their predators as they make them fool by hiding themselves in the surrounding.
White Morpho
It is a white butterfly of Mexico and Central America. Both upper and lower wings are bright white, with some small light brown markings. There is a row of small eyespots on the underside of the hindwings.
