Pomeranian is the most cutest dog breed I have ever seen!
Their furry coats make them look like a puffball and because of these coats they are always a centre of attention.



So, let's check out some interesting facts about this amazing dog breed:

Pomeranians are named after the Pomerania region in north-west Poland and north-east Germany in Central Europe.

They are also called Pom poms or simply Poms because of their cute appearance.



The credit for the popularity of the cute dog breed is given to the royal members of the 18th century. 
Mainly Queen Victoria is known for making the breed popular worldwide however Queen Charlotte, Martin Luther, Michelangelo, Mozart and Sir Issac Newton were also Pom owners in history.

The cute, furry and spirited Pomeranians have dark, almond-shaped eyes and a fox-like face. 
Nowadays, they are generally 7 to 12 inches tall and weigh around 3 to 7 pounds however in history it's found that once they weighed around 30 pounds!

The coat of the colour varies from white, black, brown, orange, red, cream, blue, black and tan, brown and tan, parti, spotted, brindle and a combination of these colours. But I feel white Pomeranians look amazing!

The thick, double-coat of Pomeranians doesn't require a lot of grooming however regular brushing is recommended to maintain the attractive look of the furry coats.


The cute, friendly and lively attributes are the reason for the compatibility of the breed with other dogs, cats or other pets and kids in the family.

Pomeranians are considered intelligent, loyal and are alert about the changes around them. They bark aloud on strangers and all these features make them an excellent watchdog.

Poms love playing or going outside for walks. Being highly energetic and playful, they are good family dogs.

However, they like playing outside but are sensitive to heat so it's advised to avoid taking them outside in terribly hot weather.
